Overview
AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient and southeastern New Jersey's largest health system, seeks an experienced physician with an ABPM certification to serve as system-wide Medical Director of Addiction Services. AtlantiCare continues to prioritize addiction medicine services; the Medical Director will be a highly visible leader within the health system, helping establish standards and providing recommendations for evidence-based improvements in substance use and recovery-related care across hospitals, emergency departments, and ambulatory locations. The role includes direct patient care, program development, and system-wide leadership to advance addiction medicine services throughout the organization and communities served. Responsibilities
Split duties to provide direct patient care with scheduled appointments and clinic hours two days per week. Dedicate one day each week to program development, including overseeing pharmacotherapy services and management of other providers, and providing consults as the addiction medicine specialist for patients admitted for medical stabilization. Oversee two to three days of outpatient bridge clinics and collaborate with two FQHC programs. Provide policy and strategy for AtlantiCare's Healing Atlantic County initiative to combat the opioid epidemic in southeastern New Jersey. Serve as the system-wide addiction medicine consultant to support strategic directives and clinical excellence. Qualifications
Board certification in Addiction Medicine is essential for this role; candidates without certification will not be considered. Experience in building or leading substance use programs is preferred. Ability to provide consultative leadership for system-wide strategic directives and to contribute to community healing efforts. Total Rewards
