Overview
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist invites a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Inpatient Anesthesia Team in Winston Salem, NC. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible role with 40 hours per week (schedule varies).

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a nationally recognized academic health system; Winston Salem Campus is a Level 1 trauma center. In the Inpatient Anesthesia Department, you will work on cases including Orthopedic, Vascular, Burns, Cardiothoracic (specific team), Neurology, ENT, General/Abdominal, Robotic, Gynecology, with other cases such as EP, IR, MRI, Burn Tank, Brachytherapy, and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
What You'll Do
As a CRNA, you will play a key role in team-focused patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during inpatient procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Precept Student Nurse Anesthetists when possible, mentoring and assessing students. Use medical decision-making to determine appropriate peri-operative and anesthesia care plans, considering co-morbidities and age/development guidelines. Collaborate with the medical team for effective team-based care; uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention. Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards and confidentiality. Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care. Exhibit professionalism through teamwork and ongoing professional development. Contribute to cost containment by conserving resources. Perform other related duties as assigned. The clinician functions under regulatory mandates from licensing bodies (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental credentialing from the institution. CRNA Requirements
Graduation from an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program (Master's Degree or higher required). RN licensure from the North Carolina Board of Nursing + current certification/recertification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board. Current CPR Certification - ACLS, BLS. Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within granted privileges. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse clinical teams.
