Overview
At Microsoft Japan, we are looking for a Technical Sales Professional to help our customers modernize their endpoints through solutions such as Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
In this role, you will engage customers in strategic discussions about the future of endpoint experiences, proposing ideal solutions that go beyond improving existing workstyles. You'll identify entirely new use cases and help drive broader adoption of modern endpoints within customer organizations.

Strong industry knowledge and experience in VDI/DaaS solution selling
The ability to drive Zero Trust initiatives using Microsoft Entra ID and Intune

Qualifications Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales or technical consulting
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 4+ years of relevant experience
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 3+ years of relevant experience
Or equivalent experience and skills
4+ years of experience with cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructure design, architecture, migrations, industry standards, or technology management
High-level fluency in Japanese (spoken and written)
Business-level proficiency in English (spoken and written)
Responsibilities
Deepen Technical Expertise in Assigned Domains
Develop and continuously deepen technical expertise in key solutions such as Windows 11, Windows 365, Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Virtual Desktop, Surface, and managed services like Autopatch and Microsoft Managed Desktop. This includes a strong understanding of Microsoft’s product differentiators compared to competitors.
Expand Technical Engagement with Customers
Act as a trusted technical advisor with a growth mindset. Leverage skills in presentations, demos, and whiteboarding to drive scalable technical engagements and deliver value at every stage of the customer journey.
Drive Strategic Positioning and Competitive Differentiation
Build technical strategies that highlight the strengths of Microsoft solutions while addressing competitive weaknesses, helping customers make confident, informed technical decisions in Microsoft’s favor.
Lead Solution Design and Validation
Gain deep insight into customer business needs to reframe existing challenges, deliver meaningful business impact, and secure buy-in. Navigate complex selling environments, handle objections effectively, escalate technical blockers appropriately, and maintain momentum toward implementation.
Scale Through Partner Collaboration
Actively engage in co-selling scenarios with partners, providing technical expertise and becoming a trusted source of knowledge to support partner-led customer engagements.
