Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, working across distributed teams. Drive the development of Core Training infrastructure to support training for core products. Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in software development. 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products. 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. 3 years of experience with software design and architecture. Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms. 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects. Experience with Flume and C++. Experience with Machine Learning, Machine Learning Infrastructure, or Generative AI. About Google

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products and acts as owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure. These are essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for users and for driving innovation across Google. In this role, you will work on a large-scale distributed system critical to Google\'s ML infrastructure, enhancing search, multimodal support, dataset exploration, and deeper integration with the ML ecosystem. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
