Overview

The California Institute of Technology (Caltech) seeks a proven leader to serve as Associate Vice President (AVP) of Audit Services and Institute Compliance & Chief Compliance Officer. This senior role oversees internal audit, compliance, and enterprise risk management functions across Caltech and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Responsibilities

Lead a high-performing team to deliver best-in-class audit and compliance services. Develop and implement risk-based audit and compliance plans. Advise senior leadership and trustees on risk and compliance matters. Ensure adherence to complex laws, regulations, and policies across Caltech and JPL. Oversee internal audit, compliance, and enterprise risk management functions across the organization. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (MBA or Master’s preferred). Minimum of 10 years of senior-level audit and compliance leadership experience. Strong communication skills and proven problem-solving abilities. Eligibility for security clearance. Additional information

The anticipated and budgeted hiring salary range is $340,000 to $360,000.
