Logic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in El Segundo, CA. You will join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF. You will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing, and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems. Position Responsibilities
Design, engineer, analyze, and develop software prototypes and/or applications as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Engage with stakeholders to better define the problem space and vision to determine capabilities and priorities. Participate in the complete software development lifecycle: user story creation, design, development, automated testing, and operational support. Create intuitive user interfaces that enable efficient data management and system oversight. Design and develop new visualization features to meet evolving end-user requirements. Work with complex algorithms to deliver optimized solutions for the end user. Determine software maintainability and overall adherence to user requirements on department standards. Drive continuous improvement through process and tooling recommendations. Mentor team members by sharing innovative ideas and industry best practices. Required Skills and Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance is required for this position BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience Design, engineer, analyze, and develop software prototypes and/or applications as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Engage with stakeholders to better define the problem space and vision to determine capabilities and priorities. Participate in the complete software development lifecycle: user story creation, design, development, automated testing, and operational support. Create intuitive user interfaces that enable efficient data management and system oversight. Design and develop new visualization features to meet evolving end-user requirements. 10+ years of software development, including architecture, object-oriented design, coding, and testing. Experience working with Javascript frameworks such as Angular. Knowledge and experience in Jira and Confluence. Experience in implementing Agile Software Development methodologies for efficient and iterative project management. Experience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, and Tactical SATCOM or COMSATCOM. Experience with space and ground systems, such as satellite communication, ground terminals and DoD networks. Work Model: On-site Travel: Minimal Working Hours: Standard Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active Secret Clearance. This is a full-time position in El Segundo, CA. The pay range for this position is $122,000 to $168,300. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and additional supplemental benefits, such as professional development support.
