Description Woman’s Hospital currently has full-time and part-time assessment center openings for OB/GYN physicians. The OB/GYNs providing 24/7 coverage of the assessment center will treat and triage patients with gynecologic emergencies and provide obstetric services as needed, including patient evaluation, clinical management, and assistance with vaginal and operative deliveries. As a physician in the assessment center, you will work closely with the community OB/GYNs to ensure that every expecting mother presenting to the assessment center is provided exceptional care. You will also work in collaboration and coordination with board-certified emergency medicine and family practice physicians trained in emergency care for non-obstetric patients. Woman’s is home to a thriving OB/GYN residency thus giving you the benefit of participating in graduate medical education.

Schedule

Flexible schedule (12 or 24-hour day and night shifts)

Full time: 13, 12-hr shifts per month

Part time: 7 or 10, 12-hour shifts per month

No on-call obligation

Qualifications

Completion of a ACGME accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program.

Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).

Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.

At least two years of experience in a full scope OBGYN setting.
