A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable global organizations and users to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network with the right equipment and software requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network that Navy needs. Responsibilities

As a Network Engineer on our team, you’ll work with the Program Management Office to provide network architecture design and system operational support to other systems, establish requirements, develop and evaluate technical solutions and architecture designs, and perform solutions analyses. You will analyze the design of an enterprise migration and implementation plan for data centers, remote access connections, cross-domain solutions, network ports, protocols, and services configurations while meeting current network requirements. You will provide Tier III network support while maintaining responsibility for analyzing and developing solutions for networking issues by monitoring all operational communications systems and circuits, direct troubleshooting, and restoring actions for unscheduled outages. You will analyze network activity and performance to identify potential network issues and inefficiencies and develop and implement automated configuration management software solutions, including software-defined networking and White Box networking for a reliable network to support global critical missions. You’ll collaborate with SMEs in cybersecurity, engineering, quality assurance, and operations to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape network requirements and share your expertise during acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms to supporting hardware acquisition, you’ll apply hardware and software talents to enterprise network design and configuration in support of geographically dispersed units worldwide for national and global security missions. You Have

5+ years of experience with hands-on configuration of network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls Experience delivering network engineering artifacts such as network templates, configuration guides, and network diagrams Knowledge of L2-L4 networking protocols Ability to travel to OCONUS locations up to 30% of the time HS diploma or GED Security+ and Cisco Certified Network Certification, including CCNA or CCNP Nice If You Have

Experience with Navy Enterprise Networks such as NMCI, NGEN, ONE-Net, or CANES Experience with software-defined networking Experience with network automation Experience in Network Access Control solutions such as Forescout or Cisco ISE Experience with networking tools, including SolarWinds Clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000 to $225,000 (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date. Identity Statement
