Chief Financial Officer

Overview Visitation Academy seeks a seasoned, thoughtful, and dedicated professional to serve as the school’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reporting to the Head of School, this individual is responsible for all aspects of the school’s finances, oversees the Director of Operations, and serves as a strategic thought partner for the Head of School, Senior Administrative Team, and Board of Trustees. The CFO will lead the Business Office team and contribute to innovative thinking and problem solving to shape the school’s future.

Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of the school’s finances and financial strategy.

Oversee the Director of Operations and the Business Office team.

Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Head of School, Senior Administrative Team, and Board of Trustees.

Collaborate on long-range planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital projects.

Foster a culture of fiscal discipline, transparency, and accountability.

Qualifications

Significant experience in financial leadership, ideally in an independent school or nonprofit setting.

Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to engage with senior leaders and the Board of Trustees.

Experience leading a finance or business office team.
