JOB TITLE: Shipping Associate STATUS: FTE (Full Time Employment) COMPENSATION: Starting $23/hr DOE BENEFITS: Medical/Dental/Vision, Accrued PTO, 10 Holidays, 401k Company Match 3%, Partially Subsidized ORCA REPORTS TO: Production Manager Responsibilities

Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area for pickup Cutting and assembling wood crating, cardboard, and styrofoam for custom order packaging Build and wrap pallets for secure shipment with freight carriers Maintain excellent service by following company standards of quality for organization and shipping practices. Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness. Pack and ship items securely and effectively to minimize breakage Pack sold items properly and ship in a timely basis per policy and priority. Ensure that incoming and outgoing inventory and shipments are as secure and well-organized as possible Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations Work in other warehouse areas as appropriate to maintain knowledge and relationships necessary for efficient and effective operation Document any necessary updates to process and aid in inventory management Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Full availability during hours of operation when approved PTO or holidays are not scheduled Intermediate math skills; ability to convert between decimals and fractions Proven ability to use saw, staple gun, hammer, measuring tape, and other woodworking tools safely and accurately. Previously forklift trained Good written and verbal communication skills Fluency in spoken and written English Ability to learn and use spreadsheet and database tools Performance of repetitive tasks accurately for long periods of time Ability to continuously stand or walk, bend, squat, climb stairs, lift frequently, and use eyes, hands and fingers, and feet and legs Lifting 50-75 pounds individually or 75-100 pounds in a team lift Commitment to continuous learning and training opportunities that support job responsibilities. Previous warehouse experience, such as knowledge in packaging and shipping standards and use of shipping systems like UPS WorldShip, FedEx, DHL, etc. Planning workflow and prioritizing tasks, including managing time well against competing priorities Experience in or ability to learn inventory control methods Searching for long-term employment Forklift certification and pallet jack experience Personalities for Best Fit

Read Products, Inc. was founded and incorporated by Charles Read Sr. in 1962 and is owned by the Read family as a single location containing offices and a manufacturing/stocking warehouse. Read Products Inc. purchases woodfiber laminate (“WFL”) and high density polyethylene (“HDPE”) materials and acts as a secondary processor, manufacturing custom commercial cutting boards for wholesale to restaurant and kitchen supply purveyors, grocery operations, stainless steel manufacturers, retailers, and other similar enterprises. All cutting and routing is performed via a combination of CNC machines and traditional woodworking tools. As of 2022 Read Products Inc. employs about 10 staff members and sells approximately $3,000,000 of FSC-certified woodfiber laminate products per year.
