Engineering Lead

to join our team in Massachusetts. We are a women-led energy transformation firm focused on impact, with expertise in energy efficiency and RCx. The role involves supporting customers to identify, quantify, and deliver cost-effective energy-efficiency projects. Base pay range:

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr . Responsibilities

Lead and support the implementation of retro-commissioning (RCx) and energy management projects for commercial and industrial facilities. Review Qualified Service Provider (QSP) submissions, including reports, savings calculations, and project documentation, for accuracy and program alignment. Provide technical review comments and communicate findings to QSPs, utility clients, and internal stakeholders. Support the development of program materials such as calculation tools, guidebooks, and technical resources. Work with QSPs, utility clients, and end-use customers to qualify RCx projects and assess feasibility. Prepare concise summaries of project results, including savings, cost-effectiveness, and lessons learned, for utility clients and program administrators. Conduct selective site visits to verify project scope, assess building systems (HVAC, controls, compressed air, refrigeration), and support measurement and verification activities. May lead and mentor 1-2 junior engineers, ensuring project reviews meet quality, accuracy, and timeline standards. Provide training and technical guidance to junior engineers in RCx methodologies, HVAC systems, and program processes. Identify barriers to project implementation and propose practical, innovative solutions to enhance program success. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in energy efficiency, retro-commissioning (RCx), or building systems engineering. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, refrigeration, thermal/fluid systems, and related building systems. Experience reviewing technical reports, calculations, and performing QA/QC of engineering deliverables. Excellent communication skills to translate technical findings into actionable guidance. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and mentor junior staff. Strong writing, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills; ability to distill complex ideas into concise reports and communications. Comfortable in dynamic environments with varying ambiguity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related analysis tools. Willingness to travel locally up to 25% of the time. Interest in sustainability and making a meaningful environmental impact. Preferred Skills, Education And Experience

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM). Master's degree in Mechanical, Energy, or related field. Hands-on knowledge of commissioning and retro-commissioning procedures, system schematics, and functional performance testing. Experience managing multiple projects or programs, including budgets, deliverables, and client relationships. Experience designing HVAC, electrical, and building automation/control systems. Proficiency with building energy modeling and simulation tools (DOE-2, eQUEST, EnergyPlus, TRACE, ECAM). Familiarity with energy savings opportunities across building systems (HVAC, lighting, compressed air, refrigeration, process heating/cooling). About Resource Innovations

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on skills, experience, and qualifications. The base salary range is

$100,000 - $120,000 . In addition to base pay, employees may receive a discretionary annual bonus. Final compensation is determined by experience, education, and location. Benefits include three weeks of paid vacation per year, paid holidays, a 401(k) with employer matching, health/dental/vision insurance, and other supplemental benefits.
