Overview
Senior Finance Director Olympics
Position Overview :
The Senior Finance Director Olympics will support the VP running the Finance department on the Olympics BU, mainly focusing on the LA28 games. Working directly with all senior stakeholders to manage the finance function with support from the existing team.
The position will report to the VP, Finance Director Olympics and manage a team of Finance Managers, analysts and event accountants to proactively support the business team in delivery of the hospitality products. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical analytics and accounting experience (preferably within Events or Hospitality) along with the adaptability, resilience to change and inter-personal skills necessary to thrive in large people-oriented organizations.
Responsibilities
Manage and develop a team of event accountants and finance analysts to effectively support the business
Own all business modelling for thorough collaboration with Executive, Senior and Event leadership
Prepare consolidated forecasts, budgets, and multi-year financial plans and analyze trends in revenue, expense, capital expenditures, and other related areas
Support the 2 direct reports Snr Finance Managers, Olympics in the above responsibilities as they will be the primary owner of the relationship with the key business personnel and existing processes
Ownership of month / quarter / year end process and reporting for the division
Provide regular and ad hoc management reporting for decision-making trend, variance & sensitivity analysis
Ownership of the full budgeting and forecasting process for the division, including presentation
Own and maintain various relationships across the broader business, including Event Directors, Transactional Finance, Legal and HR
Be onsite at the Games to ensure the smooth running of the event
Ensure a no surprises culture where finance has a key seat at the table when discussing any decisions with financial impact
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; ACA, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and / or MBA
Experience working with multinational companies
Experience in Events or Hospitality preferred
Flexibility to lead during periods of frequent and progressive change
Ability to hold themselves and others accountable for performance
Travel as required

Hiring Range Minimum : $127,500 annually
Hiring Range Maximum : $170,000 annually
