Software Engineering Manager, Google Cloud, Global Networking. Lead a team of engineers, provide technical direction, and help develop your team while contributing to product strategy and software delivery at scale. Responsibilities
Manage a high performing team of software engineers. Provide technical guidance to the team as they design, develop, integrate and test features for availability, scaling, and NPIs. Prioritize work and ensure incremental progress, even when problems are complex. Help team members and partner teams understand the broader context and solve the right problems at the right time. Be comfortable with changes in the execution plan if they enable the right impact for Google. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript). 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role. Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization. Compensation and Location
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
