Position Summary The Electrical Project Director role is a challenging position for which only top industry professionals are considered. This role manages large data center projects, typically overseeing 2 to 5 projects simultaneously across a region or business unit. The Project Director is responsible for the P&L on each project and manages all levels of risk for projects under their control. Key Responsibilities

Overall leadership of the project team across contracting, financials, schedule, staff development and craft. Assess and implement development plans for direct reports and track performance and development goals for all staff levels. Collaborate with the larger McCarthy director group to ensure project success. Serve as a liaison between office and field, coordinating staffing and movement of field personnel. Review and approve on-site setup for project teams. Monitor subcontractor bonds and review subcontractor management, change orders, and shop drawings. Maintain understanding of the McCarthy/Owner contract and oversee field operations to achieve contract compliance. Assist project staff in developing the construction schedule and monitor performance; seek ways to improve/expedite. Understand projected costs, contingent liabilities, and potential savings/increased profits. Oversee labor cost productivity reporting and overall project financials. Establish and maintain good relationships with owners, design teams, and subcontractors. Oversee quality management to achieve contract compliance and a quality project. Champion job site safety and motivate the on-site team to follow McCarthy safety guidelines. Increase McCarthy\'s visibility in the surrounding community and identify potential clients to support additional sales. Assist Marketing with presentations/interviews and participate in interviews as needed. Work with Preconstruction to establish/review project budgets in Accubid and facilitate procurement of key materials. Review project contracts and assist in contract negotiations with the client. Implement all applicable EEO/Affirmative Action programs. Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; degrees in other engineering disciplines or Construction Management with relevant experience will be considered. Direct experience leading self-performed electrical scope of $10M+ on multiple Commercial or Renewable construction projects. 15+ years of progressive experience managing the self-perform electrical scope for a large-scale contractor. Working knowledge of the NEC and NFPA 70E. Working knowledge of Accubid estimating software is preferred. Experience leading successful project teams, including development of direct reports and maintaining relationships with external entities. Experience dealing with major suppliers and procurement of large electrical equipment. Excellent organizational, team management, problem-solving and motivational skills. Willingness to travel to remote job sites as required; approximate travel up to 75%.
