DataPelago . Enable customers to successfully adopt our engine to fulfill their business use-cases in pre-sales and post-sales contexts. Maintain strong knowledge of our engine, competing alternatives, and customer requirements. Collaborate with engineering as needed, and with customers to help them realize their business objectives.
Responsibilities
Domain expertise includes: Lakehouse platforms, data governance and management, data engineering, analytics, SQL, AI/ML, and public clouds.
Guide technical evaluation activities throughout the sales process.
Serve as a member of the sales team and lead technical advisor; work with the DataPelago product team as the customer advocate.
Help build and move prospects through the sales pipeline, converting them into customers.
Design and implement data-driven business outcomes using DataPelago’s analytic engine on Lakehouse platforms.
Utilize Lakehouse platforms and the associated Data Governance policies; understand the Lakehouse ecosystem of tools and applications.
Apply data management lifecycle principles: data modeling, ingestion, integration, and transformation.
Deliver presentations, demos, benchmarks, and executing proofs-of-concept to demonstrate value proposition, performance, and TCO.
Results And Impact
Become a trusted advisor and SME for analytics and data engineering on Lakehouse platforms.
Guide customers on effective Data Management and Data Governance best practices.
Lead clients through evaluating and adopting DataPelago’s products.
Demonstrate value through measurable performance and TCO advantages over competitors.
Influence and author customer reference architectures to include DataPelago.
Engage with the customer’s technical community, including external influencers such as Systems Integrators and consultants, via workshops, demos, benchmarks, and proofs of concept.
Collaborate with sales and product teams to drive customer wins and expansion.
Mentor junior Solution Architects to develop their skills and experience.
Skills And Experience
Effective communications: ability to share technical concepts through presentations and white boarding.
Deep domain expertise in Lakehouse platforms (Delta Lake and Iceberg), data engineering, analytics, SQL, AI/ML.
Data Governance and Management experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables (DLT), Delta Merge, Hive Metastore, and Data Pipelines.
Real-world architecture design and implementation experience.
Public Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), including onboarding customers.
Hands-on proficiency with SQL, Spark, Python, Scala, Java, AI/ML.
Pre-sales and post-sales experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; Master’s preferred.
