The Physician provides licensed medical care including diagnosis, treatment (inclusive of surgery or pre/post-surgical care where appropriate), case management and clinical research. The Physician manages complex and sometimes unpredictable situations. The Physician must be competent in technical, clinical and surgical skills (where appropriate), cognitive and interpersonal skills required to serve those patients receiving the above-mentioned services. The Physician is expected to practice within the established Medical Center and physician’s standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols), and adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center. The James Department of Radiation Oncology offers the most advanced, cutting-edge treatments for cancer patients through state-of-the-art technologies, paradigm-shifting clinical, translational, and basic research, and unparalleled expertise with our internationally acclaimed team of physicians. The department is an integral part of Ohio State's Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James). We provide leading-edge radiation therapy care in an environment of subspecialty radiation oncology expertise, education and translational research. The signature mission of Radiation Oncology at the James Cancer Hospital is to provide state-of-the-art personalized care for our cancer patients by capitalizing upon the unique expertise of our treatment team, implementing cutting-edge technologies geared to eradicate cancer, and conducting cutting-edge clinical, translational, and basic science research. A full continuum of GU cancer care - from prevention and screening through detection, diagnosis, treatment, is offered at our world class facilities, and has a multi-disciplinary clinic specifically for GU patients. Our main campus and James Outpatient Care see GU patients with a team including 6 GU radiation oncologists, 4 Advanced Practice Providers and 4 RNs, plus therapists, dosimetrists and physics teams dedicated to GU cancer treatments. Job Requirements

MD or DO; Successful completion of an accredited residency and be Board Certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Radiology. Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. How To Apply

Clinical faculty

(regardless of rank) – Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research. Tenure-Track faculty

(regardless of rank) – Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD, DO or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care. Research Faculty

(regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study.
