Overview
The Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF) is dedicated to providing families with demonstrated financial need the chance to offer their children a quality education with a focus on Christian values at Catholic schools across the Archdiocese of Boston. The Inner-City Scholarship Fund (ICSF), CSF's signature program, awards partial scholarships to students in high-poverty areas, irrespective of race, religion, ethnicity, or gender. ICSF also provides opportunities for volunteerism and networking through the Young Leaders program, engaging business professionals in CSF's mission.
Role Description
The Annual Fund Director reports directly to the Advancement Director and manages CSF's robust annual fund. This person is responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive, multi-channel annual fund initiative, conducting face-to-face and phone solicitations, coordinating direct mail fundraising, online fundraising, and stewardship. Regular identification, cultivation, and solicitation of donors and prospects for increases and first-time gifts.
Skills Required
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to manage multiple projects concurrently with excellent written and oral communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in MS Office and G-Suite and have database experience. Minimum five years of advancement or related experience. Raiser's Edge (RE) proficiency preferred.
Responsibilities
Create and implement a strategic annual fund fundraising program based on donor segmentation and research, which includes but is not limited to face-to-face and phone solicitation, direct mail, and online fundraising. Maintain and steward a personal portfolio of donors and prospects with an emphasis on increasing giving levels and new and recovered donors. Management of donor-related scholarship programs and reporting (including GO & Inspiration scholars). Coordinate schedule for all foundation giving, executing grant reports and proposals (new and existing). Analyze the effectiveness of various fundraising methods and messages; adapt future appeals accordingly. Monitor and report consistently on the progress of annual fund results compared to goals. Manage donor acknowledgment process including priority follow-up for new, increased, and special gifts. Implement yearly strategy and manage CSF's Stewardship Program with routine evaluation and improvements on activities and engagement for all donors with a focus on CSF's Leadership Circle. Manage and coordinate giving societies and stewardship and Ambassador event(s). Assist with mail and making deposits and other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum five years of advancement or related experience. Proficiency in MS Office and G-Suite; experience with database systems. Raiser's Edge (RE) proficiency preferred. Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Full-time, exempt position. Schedule includes some weekends and evening events.
