Overview
VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post-access support (including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting) and education to clinical teams and customers. VTP operates on-site and mobile vascular access support throughout the Western and Southern United States and aims to deliver innovative, affordable services with high client and patient satisfaction. Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs with ultrasound guidance and ECG confirmation. Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices. Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including port access, line removal and declotting. Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and other CVADs. Travel to customer facilities as required; full-time schedule typically three to four days per week (including weekends) with holiday rotation. Part-time (Per Diem) schedule requires a minimum of 4 shifts per month, including weekends, with holiday rotation. Observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges across hospital and non-hospital settings based on referrals. Qualifications
Registered Nurse with current license. Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care preferred. American Heart BLS Certification. Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs and other vascular access device placements using ultrasound. Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements. Current valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to reliable transportation for travel to patient sites. Smartphone required. Training and Experience
Ideal candidates have experience with ultrasound-guided IV placements (USGIV) and vascular access device (VAD) insertions. Training is available in some locations for candidates with recent, consistent USGIV placement experience. Priority is given to fully trained vascular access nurses; additional training is available for those with strong USGIV skills. Compensation
Hourly pay range: $60 USD - $75 USD. Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employment based on prior vascular access experience. Benefits and Culture
