The role involves leading a product team in an Agile environment, collaborating across multi-disciplinary groups, and overseeing system capabilities from requirements to maintenance. Description

The product owner will lead a product team that collaborates with Systems Engineering, Real-time & Embedded Software, Test Automation, DevOps, and Systems Test. Responsibilities include overseeing and reviewing system capabilities to address program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. The role requires applying software engineering best practices throughout the full software development life cycle. Essential Functions The successful candidate will have experience with development, modification, and maintenance of embedded Mission Systems applications using software engineering best practices. Responsibilities include requirements development, modeling and design, application development, unit through CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance. Leadership, teamwork, and strong oral/written communication are essential, as is the ability to improve organizational and program processes. Contingency : Requires minimum active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance and active program access (PAR) before start. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field AND 9 years of related professional/military experience that includes software development, OR a Master’s degree AND 7 years of related professional/military experience that includes software development. Demonstrated professional experience with an Agile Framework within the last 3 years. Demonstrated professional experience implementing software and scripts in one or more Object Oriented Programming languages: C++, scripts in C, AND/OR Python. Demonstrated professional experience with software change control, change management, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, and/or Atlassian tool suite. Demonstrated Professional Experience with at least one of the following Cloud technologies within the last 3 years: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Active in-Scope DoD Secret clearance or higher; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance. Start date contingent upon ability to obtain special program access and maintain active DoD clearance and PAR. Preferred Qualifications

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated professional leadership experience and software architecture experience. Experience with virtual machines/networks (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, VPC, NSX-T/V). Experience with JSE, DIS, or High-level Architecture; knowledge of simulated threat environments (e.g., AFSIM, NGTS). Experience developing software for safety-critical embedded systems; familiarity with DOORS and Rational Rhapsody. Ability to interface with all levels of employees and management; proven mentorship and coaching abilities; strong time management and multitasking skills. Experience leading a team of 12 with a history of on-time performance; involvement in basis of estimates (BOEs) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Benefits
