PEDIATRIC ORTHOTIC AND PROSTHETIC CLINICIAN An exciting opportunity to join UCSF’s growing Orthotic and Prosthetic Centers within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. We are seeking highly qualified professionals to contribute to a challenging career at a top university hospital and to help advance the state of the science in orthotics and prosthetics (O&P). The Orthotic and Prosthetic Centers aim to provide the finest care, service, innovative design, and research in O&P by uniting a team of expert professionals dedicated to improving patients’ lives. You will work as a full-time clinician in a large medical university setting, with inpatient and outpatient care for diverse populations and a wide range of medical diagnoses. Responsibilities

Conduct clinical evaluations and determine appropriate orthotic and/or prosthetic treatment modalities. Oversee the technical fabrication of orthotic and/or prosthetic devices. Create and present informative educational presentations to allied health providers. Possibly serve as a resident instructor and engage in clinical research. Participate with O&P committees focused on education, technology and innovation, research, best practices, quality improvement, and outreach. Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics (MSPO/MSOP) if graduated from an NCOPE-accredited O&P curriculum after 2012, or Bachelor’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics (BSPO) or a post-bachelor certificate if graduated from an NCOPE-accredited O&P curriculum prior to 2012. ABC certification in Orthotics or Prosthetics, in good standing. Prior experience providing direct patient care in an orthotic and prosthetic facility, with demonstrated skills and abilities essential to patient care. Excellent communication and teamwork/interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of disease processes and associated orthotic/prosthetic interventions. Familiarity with current treatment modalities, materials, and fabrication techniques. Experience with scoliosis and cranial remolding. Salary, Benefits, and Application
