Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and growth of QA services, with opportunities to support team expansion over time. Assist with assigning tasks, reviewing performance, and fostering continuous improvement among QA staff. Help shape and refine workflows, checklists, and documentation protocols to promote consistency across services. Oversee execution of: Plan Reviews (pre-construction design and compliance reviews); Quality Assurance Inspections (field-based inspections for code compliance, workmanship, and deficiencies); Basic Commissioning Services (functional checks and coordination support). Provide guidance to team members on how to identify construction or compliance issues in residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects. Conduct quality control reviews of reports and client deliverables. Serve as the main point of contact for clients including developers, contractors, property managers, and municipalities; communicate findings and inspection outcomes clearly, both verbally and in written reports. Anticipate and mitigate issues by maintaining frequent communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Track project timelines, field inspections, and deliverable status; manage scopes, budgets, and timelines to ensure profitability. Ensure accurate documentation, time tracking, and report submission; support proposal development and business development efforts. Collaborate with the Director of Operations to improve systems, resource allocation, and team structure. Requirements
Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution, or a documented combination of education and equivalent professional experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Valid contractor license (building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) preferred. Valid State of Florida Driver's License and reliable transportation required. Minimum Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in AEC industry projects, construction quality assurance, building inspections, plan review, or related fields. Proven leadership in managing AEC teams and complex projects. Strong understanding of building components, systems, and common compliance issues. Excellent communication, time management, and client coordination skills. Comfortable with digital reporting tools, tracking platforms, and field coordination. Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at the executive level. Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, financials, and client relationships with minimal oversight. Familiarity with Florida Building Code and construction defect trends. Certifications such as ICC Residential or Commercial Inspector, LEED Green Associate, or BCxP (not required). Prior experience with QA inspections for condominiums, high rises, or commercial properties. Skills And Abilities
English proficiency: Fluent (Speak, read, understand, interpret content and write). Knowledgeable in all technical areas of design, construction and management, or demonstrated ability to achieve that level of proficiency in a short period of time. Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in dealing with manpower and budgets. Strong presentation skills. Effectively mentors, trains and develops people within and/or outside his/her work group/team. Physical Demands
Ability to sit with back at a 90-degree angle for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to look at a computer for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to stand upright for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas (uneven terrain, exposure to outdoor weather elements). Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, laying, crawling, and twisting required up to 30% of the time. Must be able to ride in a hoist and/or swing stage. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds at times. Must be able to use right and left foot for repetitive movements as in operating controls or levers. Full dexterity of wrists and fingers required with repetitive motions. Must be able to see near, in the distance, color, depth, and range. Safety equipment, including but not limited to hard hat, OSHA approved footwear, safety glasses and safety vests, is always required while performing job functions on active construction sites.
