Overview
A company operating in the underground dry-utilities and telecommunications infrastructure sector — delivering design, procurement, and construction services for fiber-optic, conduit, and related utility projects nationwide. We support fast-moving field operations and project teams with timely materials, vendor partnerships, and cost-effective sourcing across the USA. This is a hybrid role based in the USA with a mix of office and field-facing coordination. Compensation
Base pay range: $45.00/hr - $59.00/hr Responsibilities
Own end‑to‑end procurement for assigned projects: create and issue purchase orders, follow through to delivery, and close transactions in the ERP system. Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers for construction and telecom materials (fiber, conduit, fittings, MRO), securing competitive pricing and reliable lead times. Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors; manage vendor onboarding, compliance documentation, and performance reviews. Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules with project managers, warehouses, and field crews to minimize delays and ensure material availability for critical path activities. Maintain accurate inventory, PO, and supplier records in ERP; prepare weekly/monthly procurement reports and cost-variance analyses for leadership. Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Management, Finance, and Operations to control costs, resolve procurement disputes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
3+ years of hands-on procurement/purchasing experience, ideally supporting construction, telecom, or field services projects in the US market. Proven experience creating and managing POs and supplier workflows in an ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Strong negotiation skills, vendor management experience, and demonstrable cost-saving outcomes. Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and comfort preparing procurement reports and metrics. Excellent verbal/written communication and ability to coordinate with remote field teams and multiple stakeholders. Preferred
Experience with telecom/fiber-optic materials, HDD supplies, or utility construction procurement. Familiarity with logistics, freight terms, and tracking for time-sensitive project deliveries. Procurement certification (e.g., CPSM/CPM) or advanced ERP certifications. Benefits & Culture Highlights
