We’re looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Communications Systems team in Cedar Rapids, IA—home to some of the most advanced technology in the industry. Our software group develops innovative solutions that keep military members safe, connected, and informed, working with the latest in embedded software development. In this role, you’ll help lead the development of cutting-edge communications systems for UAVs, fighter jets, aircraft carriers, and ground vehicles. What You Will Do
Work closely with a dedicated team of software engineers to manage work scope across multiple programs Work with Integrated Product Team Leads/Program Managers to ensure requirements are defined and understood, risks/opportunities are managed, and schedules/budgets are met Manage and administer engineering DevSecOps tool suites and licensing for the department (Atlassian, Artifactory) Assist and maintain DevSecOps application upgrades Work under limited supervision while exercising responsibility in choosing and meeting the technical, financial, and schedule targets of projects Perform Control Account Management (CAM) activities Create and contribute to bid and proposal efforts
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM related degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of prior experience. Or an advanced degree and 3 years of prior experience Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments. Experience serving as a Scrum Master or Product Owner on software or engineering projects. Proficiency in administering Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for project tracking and workflow management. Hands-on experience with Control Account Management (CAM) processes and reporting. Experience contributing to or leading bid and proposal efforts for technical projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in Linux administration Active Secret security clearance Experience with Microsoft Project Familiarity with the Scaled Agile framework Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
