Seeking an individual that has a strong technical foundation with the ability to be hands-on with the broader engineering team as part of the development/deployment cycle, and deep knowledge of industry best practices, with the ability to implement them working with both the platform and the product teams.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Consistently delivers solid quality in both design and implementation and helps the team shape what is built and how, in particular.

Core responsibilities include focusing on innovation and improving delivery effectiveness by driving product development features across the organization in software development, deployment, and infrastructure consistency.

Provide standardized enterprise solutions for cloud infrastructure and application deployment across multiple products.

Apply appropriate software engineering patterns utilizing a meta-driven systems approach to build robust and scalable systems.

Expert in OO and Functional programming and the ability to apply your skills in developing Blue Yonder products.

Influence fellow engineers by proposing software designs, providing feedback on software designs and/or implementation.

Experienced problem-solving skills to triage operational issues and eliminate repeat occurrences.

Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event-driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture

Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)

Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Snowflake

What You’ll Do

Develop quality software (including effective unit test code) according to clean code principles and Blue Yonder standards.

Participate in team activities such as backlog grooming, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Translate business requirements to user stories and actively seek feedback from stakeholders.

Consider information security aspects while coding and reviewing others’ code.

Stay up to date with technology and research latest trends in the industry.

Be perceived as the expert in a small designated technical area and be the go-to person for related implementational and operational issues.

Design, architect, implement and document next generation system architecture and automation solutions.

Provide support/guidance for day-to-day operations/systems.

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred) with Computers or Engineering or any related field required.

Minimum 8 years of experience in software development using Java; this is a Senior role.

Strong programming skills and background in Java, Spring Boot, Python, and Bash.

Ability to debug and diagnose issues in complex enterprise applications.

Hands-on experience and proficiency in the following technical skills:

Java

Spring Boot

Microservices

Cloud (Azure, AWS), Kubernetes

GitHub, GitHub Actions, DevOps domain knowledge

Front end Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON)

Object Oriented Design (OOD)

Linux/Unix & Windows Platform

Excellent team player with a proactive attitude

Experienced Agilist

Good communication skills to effectively work with stakeholders and team

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Salary : The salary range for this position is $90,821 - $143,896. The range reflects anticipated base salary for this position; minimums and maximums may vary by location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications, or licenses. This role may be eligible for an annual performance bonus or commission program, depending on the role.
