Overview MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a dynamic Architectural Project Manager - Data Centers to join our Client Programs Market team in San Francisco, CA. This role offers the opportunity to work on global and national building programs that shape data center design. You will lead projects through every stage of execution—driving innovation, delivering results, and maintaining MG2’s design excellence. As the primary point of contact, you will bring clarity, leadership, and confidence to clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

Manage project teams through all project phases, ensuring deliverables align with contracts, meet the project schedule and budget, and uphold MG2 standards for quality.

Ensure required contracts are in place prior to beginning execution of contract deliverables.

Create and maintain milestone-based project schedules and staffing workplans.

Develop detailed Project Charters including a comprehensive QA/QC plan for all project work.

Assist with development of project proposals and RFP responses as requested.

Monitor project financial status and conduct intermediate financial reviews with Team Leads or Principal-in-Charge (PIC).

Review monthly project invoicing and consultant billing.

Produce and issue weekly project updates to all project stakeholders, covering contract deliverables, financial status, contracts, and permitting reports.

Lead internal and external project team meetings.

Participate in Quality Control procedures, including review of externally distributed project deliverables.

Oversee Construction Administration activities, including weekly reviews of RFI and Submittal logs, and attendance at OAC meetings; review site visit reports and punch lists prior to issuance.

Conduct project debriefs after construction or completion phases to identify opportunities for service improvement.

Initiate project close-out procedures in alignment with contractual obligations.

Manage internal and external resources to ensure consistent quality and project profitability.

Provide ongoing feedback and performance management for team members; conduct monthly 1:1 check-ins and annual reviews for people managers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or a related field.

8+ years of experience in a professional architecture or design firm.

Demonstrated professional expertise with Data Centers is required.

Licensure as a professional is preferred.

Experience leading teams through all phases of milestone-based project delivery.

Basic knowledge of architectural contracts and contract execution procedures.

Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Experience with collaboration software such as Bluebeam, Miro, and Teams.

Strong English reading and writing skills for job-related communications.

Compensation: $80,000 to $152,000 per year (depending on qualifications)
