As a Security Officer - University Patrols in Redwood City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. You will be a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a prominent educational location, conducting routine patrols to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will remain highly visible, provide support and reassurance, and respond promptly to situations. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service and clear communication as you interact with a diverse campus community and assist with inquiries or concerns. The position may include driving responsibilities, patrolling by vehicle in addition to foot patrols. This is a part-time role with schedule details below.

What You’ll Do

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols. Collaborate with campus personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns. Remain observant and approachable while assisting with access control and monitoring entry points as required. What We’re Looking For

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience. A valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements is required. Customer service experience is preferred. A valid Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
