Senior Data Scientist, Data and Machine Learning, WWPS US Federal — AWS. Role focuses on designing, building, and implementing AI algorithms and GenAI solutions to augment decision making for the US Intelligence Community, with emphasis on reliability, transparency, and scalability. Work spans Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Cyber Operations, and cloud computing, applying AWS AI/ML services to transform missions and build data-intensive applications at scale. You will collaborate with customers to understand data challenges, translate requirements into actionable solutions, and guide adoption toward production deployments. The role requires broad experience with diverse data sources and strong business acumen and communication skills to engage stakeholders and mentor engineers.

This position is expected to work within the Ft. Meade/CMD location and requires an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with polygraph, with the possibility of commensurate clearance per government agency. It is not a remote position; at least 1+ day in the office or with customers is expected each week. Some travel up to 25% may be required. Key responsibilities

Collaborate with AI/ML Scientists and Architects to research, design, develop, and evaluate AI algorithms for real-world challenges. Participate in the design and construction of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) pipelines and architectures. Interact with customers to understand business problems, help implement AI solutions, deliver briefings and deep-dive sessions, and guide adoption patterns to production. Create and deliver best-practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations for technical, business, and executive stakeholders. Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to influence product direction. This position may require up to 25% local travel. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years migrating and transforming legacy SIGINT/Cyber capabilities through data science and ML approaches; building models within SIGINT/Cyber operational constraints. Professional experience applying data science within Intelligence Community production chains. Experience with algorithms, data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel/distributed computing, HPC, neural deep learning methods and/or ML. Current, active US government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph. Preferred Qualifications

Masters or PhD in computer science, engineering, mathematics, operations research, or other highly quantitative field. Experience using Python and hands-on model development with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, MXNet). Experience building applications leveraging GenAI. The base pay ranges from $143,300/year to $247,600/year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge/skills/experience.
