Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the firm’s tax compliance and planning services for our UHNW clients. This role involves leading a team of tax professionals, managing complex tax engagements, and providing strategic tax advisory services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax planning and compliance, particularly with UHNW clients.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

– Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Work with DBTA Partner in recruitment, training, and professional development of tax staff.

Tax Compliance and Planning

– Manage the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, corporations, private foundations, and international entities. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations. Implement tax strategies that align with clients’ financial goals and mitigate tax liabilities.

Client Engagement

– Communicate with UHNW clients, understanding their unique financial situations and objectives. Provide advice on year-end planning, estate and gift tax planning, and captive insurance planning.

Strategic Advisory

– Stay abreast of the latest tax laws and regulations, ensuring DBTA practices are current and compliant. Advise DBTA Partner on tax implications of various financial decisions, including investments, business transactions, and estate planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field; CPA required.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, with at least 1 year in a leadership role serving UHNW clients.

Skills

In-depth knowledge of federal, state and international tax laws and regulations.

Proven ability to manage complex tax situations and provide strategic tax advice.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Tax preparation software proficiency (CCH) a plus.

The salary for this position is $145,000 - $160,000 annually
