Senior Software Engineer , you’ll support HID’s success by:
Participating in requirements gathering, technical specification, and the design and development of production/factory software, tools development projects
Developing Factory Software for hardware qualification and integrate them into production lines
Interacting with teams of engineers from multiple disciplines to effectively design, plan and develop the software
Interacting with factory production teams across the globe and ensuring the smooth flow of production
Collecting and analyzing logs from the production process and making necessary changes to production software to meet the requirements
Effectively scoping the work and estimate the timelines
Developing various engineering, test, analysis and automation tools
Maintaining a variety of production software and make improvements as required
Qualifications
Your Experience and Background include:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in relevant field of study
Minimum 3 years (MA) or 5 years (BA)
Demonstrated expertise in developing modular C# GUI application on Windows
Experience with integrating and troubleshooting third party software and hardware
Application or tools development experience for USB connected devices
Working knowledge of source code management and configuration, preferably git
Knowledge of multithreading/multitasking, interprocess communication and other aspects of system programming
Ability to complete tasks independently, with minimal supervision
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of C/C++ programming language is an important advantage
Knowledge of Python for task automation purposes (build & test scripts)
Experience with fingerprint recognition or other biometric products
Familiarity with USB 2.0 and 3.0 protocol
Familiar with device driver installation, enumeration
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
Working knowledge of Czech or Slovak is an important advantage
