This description reflects a Tax Manager role within our Tax service line. Responsibilities
Provide top-level review of federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, flow-through entities, corporations, and trusts; review related income tax workpapers Advise clients on income tax issues and related tax planning Oversee planning and scheduling of engagements and supervise workflow Research complex technical tax issues and propose solutions Lead and train teams of seniors and staff accountants on engagements Ensure quality of work product and communicate progress to partners Serve as liaison between partners and staff; coach and mentor team members Manage firm administrative functions and initiatives such as client billings Qualifications
Undergraduate degree; Master’s degree a plus CPA certificate Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Proficiency in taxation of partnerships, LLCs, and other flow-through entities and high-net-worth individuals Strong organizational and management skills Excellent written, oral, and documentation skills Ability to identify and resolve complex income tax issues Advanced project management skills Ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of GoSystem is a plus Strong teamwork and commitment to the growth and development of colleagues Benefits and Culture
