The BD Interventional Surgery Division offers a broad range of infection prevention products, including Skin Prep, Hair Removal, and Hand Hygiene. The Pre-Op Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing sales of the BD Surgical Preoperative Portfolio products and services; will also provide product and service education to facilitate technology adoption. Contract Execution
Business reviews
Alignment with strategic sales teams on key IDNs
Contract compliance management
Maintain an up-to-date business plan detailing strategy to maintain and grow business
Grow an established portfolio through education, servicing, and proper utilization of current products
Attend and support local and regional conferences
Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts across a large geographic territory
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of relevant clinical education, training, products, and services
Lead or participate in pre-sales support, assessment and evaluation of new products and services
Lead post-sales assessment, design, implementation and monitoring of new products and services
Develop, plan and manage customer training programs
Serve as lead consultant and resource to internal and external customers
Recommend actions to drive customer acceptance and utilization of new products and services
Identify and communicate opportunities for product improvement based on customer feedback
Participate in customer assessments and develop plans for customer process standardization
Assist with field and/or classroom training of new Pre-Op Account Managers
Report customer complaints per BD procedures
Conduct business with integrity and in accordance with BD’s Code of Ethics and policies
Support BD Commercial Excellence with daily, weekly and monthly management rigor in SalesForce
Train on and apply the BD Way of Selling
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
Travel – approximately 60-75% of work time locally and nationally with overnights
Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD’s auto safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of relevant Sales/Account Management/Customer Success experience preferred. Acute Hospital experience preferred.
Clinical work experience and/or educational background preferred.
Expertise with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and planning skills
