Overview
San Diego Humane Society is hiring an Executive Assistant for our Philanthropy team!
What You’ll Do
Anticipate needs and opportunities to staff EVP for internal and external meetings and prepare accordingly. Manage additional administrative tasks for EVP, Major Gifts team and organization.
Coordinate calendar for EVP by identifying prioritizing competing needs and requests for time, working in tandem with Executive Assistant to the President & CEO to ensure schedule synchronizing.
Facilitate donor visits by booking locations (from on-campus tours, restaurants, various off-site locations, etc.), parking, necessary participants and any other needed elements.
Draft materials to facilitate productive internal and external meetings on behalf of the EVP, including prospect meeting briefings, internal meeting agendas, internal communications and more.
Act as liaison for Philanthropy & Communications team for communications with senior management, department heads, donors/prospects and other audiences through phone, email and in-person, ensuring positive experiences with institution and Philanthropy staff.
Input data into prospect database, including donor interactions, and use Raiser’s Edge to run and analyze queries and pull reports for the major/planned giving team.
Participate as a member of the Philanthropy team, including attending meetings and special events, participating in special projects as appropriate, and others as assigned; requires occasional evening and weekend work for specific events.
What We’re Looking For
Requires a bachelor’s degree in related field, and a minimum of five (5) years of full-time paid experience in administrative assistant or executive assistant position that has involved comprehensive office organization and procedural knowledge, use of all major Microsoft programs, as well as supporting multiple professionals, or an equivalent combination of related work experience and education.
Prior experience supporting executive-level management highly preferred.
Experience in nonprofit and/or fundraising environment preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be approved by SDHS insurance carrier to drive a company or personal vehicle for work purposes.

Location & Hours Supports all campuses, but based at our San Diego Campus
Pay Starting range is between $68,40 – $77,220 per year. The listed hiring range for this position depicts the target range of pay rates for candidates. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. Compensation for internal candidates may increase beyond the listed range based on performance over time. For all candidates, the actual starting pay rate is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to your years of related education and experience, internal pay equity, and position location.
