University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Psychiatry Job Title: Ambulatory Associate Medical Director Position #00829062 - Requisition #35593 Overview The Associate Medical Director works collaboratively with the Ambulatory Division Medical Director, Ambulatory Division Leadership, members of the Ambulatory team, and Inter-Division leadership as needed to support clinical care, clinic operations, and quality and regulatory efforts to optimize our mental health system by striving to improve our performance on the quadruple aim. The Associate Medical Director is also responsible for supporting education, training, and research within the Division and Institute. The Associate Medical Director is responsible for supporting Division Psychiatrists and Division APPs directly, as well as Division Psychologists and BHCs indirectly. Responsibilities Support clinical operations within the Division Participate in meetings relevant to the Ambulatory Division Help track and plan for clinical coverage needs and contribute to coverage Implement strategic plans and support program development Participate in quality improvement initiatives Work with the PMHI Medical Director and Ambulatory Division Medical Director in monitoring the practice of psychiatrists and APPs within the Division in regard to Hospital Medical Staff Office, University and CU Medicine All faculty responsibilities: support fiscal and operational goals of their Divisions and PMHI; collaborate with business leaders to set and measure outcomes Provide high-quality clinical training opportunities within the Division, with primary responsibility for Psychiatry and APP training Support conduct of high-quality research within the Division Contribute to design, assessment, and implementation of innovative clinical services within their Divisions and PMHI Contribute to teaching and scholarship consistent with senior University faculty expectations Maintain eligibility for SOM faculty appointment Provide career development mentorship to junior and senior faculty Other duties as assigned Clinical Responsibilities Provide direct clinical services in Division and Department programs as determined in coordination with Department Leadership Participate in on-call duties Work Location Onsite Why Join Us Why work for the University?
