Overview The West Virginia University Health System, the state’s largest health system and largest private employer, comprises 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states. In addition, it includes five institutes, as well as providing management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements.

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine

seek a Hematologist/Oncologist

(ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Keyser, WV and Petersburg, WV.

Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Responsibilities

Practice in the areas of hematology and oncology.

Provide excellent patient care.

Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligibility for state medical license.

Completed Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship.

Board certified or eligible in Hematology/Oncology.

All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
