Overview
Business Development Director – Manufacturing for a global technology services business. Lead growth initiatives, develop client relationships, and drive high-value sales opportunities in the Manufacturing sector across the United States. This includes process, discrete, automotive, and heavy industry manufacturers. The role focuses on selling solutions and services, not physical products, with a strategic, consultative approach and a track record of closing complex deals with C-suite stakeholders. Responsibilities
Identify and secure new business opportunities, while growing existing client relationships in the Manufacturing sector Lead sales cycles for major opportunities, from prospecting through negotiation and contract closure Build and maintain trusted relationships with strategic channel partners to enhance pipeline and business growth Deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and tender responses, collaborating with internal teams as needed Qualify opportunities rigorously and define clear win strategies Manage pipeline, forecast revenue, and track activity to achieve financial targets Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure delivery excellence and client satisfaction Take ownership of awarded contracts, including client engagement, commercials, and project mobilisation Required Skills and Experience
Proven track record selling solutions and services, not products, into the Private Sector Established network within the Manufacturing sector with demonstrable long-term relationships Experience selling to senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives Knowledge of process, discrete, and automotive manufacturing, heavy industry, and systems such as MES, SCADA, PLC, and factory-floor applications Strong understanding of business-technology alignment across applications, data, AI, and cloud services Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed sales targets in a competitive market Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills Commercial awareness and strong understanding of project and business dynamics The Package
Base salary: $150,000 – $200,000 per year Double on-target earnings (OTE) Performance-related bonuses and incentives Career progression and mentorship opportunities Flexible and remote working within
