Altru Health System is seeking a BC/BE Internal Medicine physician to join its Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist in Grand Forks, ND. Altru Health System is a community-owned, integrated healthcare system with a Trauma II hospital, a specialty hospital, more than a dozen clinics in Grand Forks and the surrounding region, and a large home care network. More than 200 physicians are employed across 44 specialties serving a referral population of over 225,000 residents in northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. As the first member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, Altru’s providers have access to clinically integrated tools extending Mayo Clinic’s knowledge and expertise to patients. Location

Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients at Altru Health System who present with injuries or illnesses. Counsels patients and advises on preventative healthcare measures. Exercises professional judgment in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in alignment with Altru’s policies and standards. Contributes to achieving Altru Health System Patient Engagement and Quality & Safety goals; participates in department goals as defined annually. Maintains accurate and timely documentation to ensure quality patient care and appropriate reimbursements. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Doctorate in the specified field of medical practice from an accredited school. Must be admissible to sit for either the Canadian or American Board, or be certified by the Canadian Board; members of the Royal College of Physicians or Royal College of Surgeons, American board certification, or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) board certification. Board certification in the area of specialty must be obtained within five years of employment. Be legally licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota, depending on the location of the practice to which they are assigned. Language Requirements
