Roles and Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Strategy: Oversee and manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Client Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored tax planning and compliance strategies that align with their goals and objectives. Leadership & Mentoring: Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff and seniors, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities to foster their growth. Tax Research & Advisory: Lead complex tax research projects, staying up to date on new tax legislation and providing actionable insights for clients. Project Management: Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring efficient use of resources, timely delivery of services, and client satisfaction. Specialized Tax Services: Assist clients with complex tax matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, international tax, and estate planning. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and senior leadership to provide integrated solutions for clients across various service areas. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the tax department. Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor client compliance, identify tax risks, and ensure all returns and filings are accurate and submitted on time. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification required. 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with a focus on tax. Strong expertise in federal, state, and local tax regulations. Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality client service. Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop staff. Excellent research, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Benefits
