Overview
Our client is seeking a junior associate with 2-4 years of experience to join their esteemed Intellectual Property practice. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a wide array of legal matters involving trademark, copyright, internet, and online advertising law. The associate will be instrumental in advising and counseling clients on all facets of their intellectual property needs, with a primary focus on the clearance, prosecution, and enforcement of trademarks and copyrights. The position requires a candidate who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while handling a diverse portfolio of work for a sophisticated client base. Responsibilities
The day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive research for both U.S. and international trademark clearance, managing prosecution, and handling enforcement actions. The attorney will also have the opportunity to work on complex matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and handle domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP). This position involves direct engagement with clients and significant legal writing, requiring a high degree of precision and attention to detail. Qualifications
Juris Doctor in Law from an ABA accredited Law School. Membership in good standing with a State Bar Association. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an attorney, with well-developed skills in trademark clearance, prosecution, counseling, and enforcement. Proven experience with U.S. and international trademark and copyright law. Strong academic credentials and outstanding legal writing skills are required. Preferred Skills
Experience in a large, international law firm environment. Knowledge of legal proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Experience with the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP). A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while also managing independent caseloads effectively.
