Security Patrol Officer - Public Transit
in
San Carlos, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. You will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to deter security-related incidents, and assisting visitors, employees, and the public with professionalism and courtesy. This position requires a valid driver’s license, as you may be tasked with patrolling designated areas by vehicle and/or on foot. Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel or authorities. Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required. Support law enforcement and emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies. Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols. What We’re Looking For
Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements No experience required Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles Possess a high school diploma or equivalent As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only Why Join Us
