Overview
Peraton is seeking a Systems Administrator (SA) to join our team on the Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) program. CAEIO provides IT Operations and Maintenance to modernize the legacy networks, applications, and databases supporting consular applications and services globally. A critical element of the CAEIO program is providing IT Operations and Maintenance support for the HW/SW platforms on which consular applications and IT systems reside and operate at U.S. Passport Offices and Agencies. The SA supports domestic Consular facilities, working closely with government SAs. Responsibilities
Install, configure, troubleshoot, resolve complex issues, and support ongoing usability of desktop computers, laptops, SW/HW, and peripheral COTS/GOTS technology. Provide planning, installation, training, support, monitoring, and maintenance of HW (server and workstation builds) and software, including all consular applications (e.g., Active Directory accounts and passwords, SCCM and other locally installed applications), security/vendor patches, VIBs, and SQL databases. Coordinate and inform Government management of all risks impacting IT-related services including power outages, environmental changes, natural disasters (fire/flood), employee incidents, maintenance, or third-party vendor actions. Coordinate and plan for upgrades, monitor post-upgrade deployment for errors, replace HW/SW components as needed, and prepare for consolidation and decommission/retiring of HW/SW. Perform backups, restores, purges and ongoing management of data, systems, software and hardware. Monitor and document abnormal performance of servers, workstations, and services; document and maintain site topology configuration and changes. Provide server/workstation security services. Provide remediation of vulnerabilities and ensure Microsoft Defender compliance on all required devices. Provide all hardware and software maintenance, such as defective hard drives, servers, workstations, chip/read writers, driver license readers, barcode readers, printers, digital scanners, etc. Provide all Active Directory service/user account and password administration, and Active Directory user privilege administration and badge logon administration. Provide end user software and Office application support. Create, maintain, track, and communicate configurations and/or changes of configurations in HW, SW, data, permissions (or security-related information). Develop, maintain, and communicate diagrams, system configurations and technical documentation. Provide and ensure availability, efficiency and effectiveness of systems, SW, HW, and data as well as technical support for testing and evaluation purposes. Document, track and report on the support provided to the Consular facilities and follow-up on all trouble calls using the ServiceNow ticketing system. Support the ISSO and ensure that security and internal controls are handled in accordance with DOS policies and procedures. Ensure that all problems/incidents are logged into the Ticket Management System and managed according to government requirements. Compensation, Location & Schedule

First shift, approximately 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday. Exact hours to be established by site lead. Qualifications
Required Qualifications U.S. citizenship and active SECRET Government Security Clearance. Experience as a systems administrator in a Windows-based environment. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of NTFS and share permissions; distribution/security group management. Knowledge of DHCP, Print Server and Exchange/O365 management. Knowledge and understanding of Cisco switching and routing technologies. Experience with ServiceNow or Remedy Ticket Management System. Experience with IBML Scanner Appliances. Active Directory - Users and Computers Experience with Intermec PM43 Label Printers. CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ Certifications. Education High school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of professional IT support experience; Associate degree with 4 years of experience; Bachelor’s with 2 years of experience; Master’s with 0 years.
