LOCATION: 111 W. Ocean Blvd. Suite 1700, Long Beach, CA 90802 Within our organization, the Marine Operations Center (MOC) department oversees vessel deployment throughout the North America Region. This department is responsible for marine terminal operations. Specifically, vessel ocean passage for bunker saving, port call optimization for cost control, and full vessel utilization are the most important part RMM functions. Other department responsibilities include coordination with other Alliance and VSA partners, uphold OOCL right through joint working procedures. Responsibilities
Oversee OOCL vessel schedules and berthing arrangements within a designated geographic region, with emphasis on achieving company objectives and goals Coordinate with marine terminal operators to ensure service levels consistently meet or exceed requirements in accordance with terminal service agreements and service level agreements Lead and manage a marine team of ship planners, setting performance goals, evaluating outcomes, and ensuring compliance with vessel safety and security protocols Represent OOCL in various Alliance and Vessel Sharing Agreement (VSA) committees, advocating for company interests Maintain and analyze operations and regulatory compliance reports, tracking performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure strategic alignment and operational focus Build and sustain strong relationships with all stakeholders and attend company and industry related functions Other duties assigned by management Qualifications
At least 5 years of industry experience in marine operations Extensive knowledge of container vessels and/or marine terminal operations, or academic background in maritime studies Proficient in interpreting, negotiating, and applying contracts Strong analytical skills and sound decision-making capabilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills On call availability, including nights, weekends, holidays should the need arise Preferred Skills
Advanced MS Office knowledge, NAVIS products and/or other Vessel Stowage programs, EDI file exchange Dealing with various Authorities or Government agencies: USCBP, USCG, CBSA, Port Authorities, Pilots, State regulatory agencies like CARB etc. What is OOCL?

Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
