Execution and Collaboration: Drive technical execution in support of major program events, collaborating within and across the SDS program portfolio to deliver exceptional customer value. Systems Challenges: Focus on resolving high-level systems challenges, ensuring the execution of the overall technical plan within the Integrated Master Schedule. Strategic Initiatives: Support strategic SDS Division initiatives on tools, processes, and cross-segment technical reviews, driving technical rigor into technical interchange meetings with C2 partners. Model-Based Engineering: Utilize Model-Based Engineering to deliver a highly sustainable Weapon System, advising the C2 program office on program, schedule, and technical matters. Leadership: This position requires a leader who is accountable to the team, customer, program management, and executive leadership. Demonstrate servant leadership by prioritizing the team's needs while achieving program objectives. Requirements and Interfaces: Perform requirements analysis, review and document source data for requirements, generate verification, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure designs meet requirements. Interface with subject matter experts, analysts, architects, designers, system engineers and specialty engineers to capture Sentinel Node structure and behavior across MBSE frameworks (UPDM/UAF/SysML/UML). MBSE and Compliance: Support requirement decomposition, derivation, and traceability; develop MBSE strategy and implementation; coordinate with subcontracted product teams to ensure compliance with the SOW and governance of the program model. Communication and Documentation: Develop technical content for presentations and present to internal and external stakeholders. Apply engineering principles to design components and systems, and maintain design documentation in accordance with configuration management requirements. Position Benefits

Sr. Principal Software Engineer: 8 Years with Bachelor’s in related field, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree. US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date in the last 6 years. Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP). Ability to team plan, execute, and manage the technical scope, and support leadership planning. Current understanding of software engineering best practices Experience in software engineering, system design, software requirements, and test Experience with Agile and working in a cross-functional Scrum team. Experience performing Safety Critical Functional Thread Analysis (SCFTA) and designing for Safety Critical Functions Experience with USAF Nuclear Surety (AFMAN91-119) and/or Cyber Certification Experience integrating multiple engineering specialties and stakeholders across multiple Integrated Product Teams and Suppliers Experience leading requirements, design, and integration of complex systems Minimum 2 years Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience Ability to create plans and standards for architecture, requirements, and design to address safe, fault-tolerant, and deterministic operation for critical functions Ability to create system, hardware and software verification plans for complete functional validation Preferred Qualifications

Detailed knowledge of the Command and Launch system and mission objectives INCOSE ASEP or CSEP Certification OMG SysML Model Builder Fundamental Certification Experience with verification planning and system buildup for Flight Tests Experience using Model Based Product Line Engineering Concepts Current understanding of software engineering best practices Ability to team plan, execute, and manage the technical scope, and support leadership planning Experience integrating multiple engineering specialties and stakeholders across multiple Integrated Product Teams and Suppliers Experience leading requirements, design, and integration of complex systems Experience leading the performance of technical tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as technical lead #Sentinelsoftware Compensation and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $196,700.00. The salary range is a general guideline and may vary based on scope, responsibilities, experience, and market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may apply. Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement savings, paid holidays, and PTO.
