Creighton University - CHI Health Vascular Surgery is recruiting a Vascular Surgeon to be part of our program and expand clinical and surgical activities in conjunction with the Department of Surgery and Cardiovascular Medicine. The Heart & Vascular Institute at Creighton University Medical Center is a high-quality, award-winning program. Our Vascular Surgery service is part of an integrated, multispecialty system, collaborating with the cardiovascular medicine team to achieve strong outcomes. The program is supported by inpatient and outpatient cardiac rehabilitation resources. Resident activity with the department of surgery is highly engaging at our University Medical Center and Level I Trauma Center. At CHI Health, we are building an Academic Health System where education, research, and innovation are central to patient care. Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat various medical conditions. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans. Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Provide clear and concise medical information. Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging. Perform procedures as needed. Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation. Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions. Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement. Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice and stay informed about healthcare regulations. Participate in ongoing medical education and training. Qualifications
American Board Certified or Board Eligible in the specified area of medical specialty A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible Benefits
