Seattle Children’s is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Pediatric Cardiologist to join our growing practice based in Tacoma, Washington. Our dedicated team—including providers, RNs, sonographers, and administrative staff—live and work in the community, delivering exceptional cardiac care and creating positive patient experiences for children and families across the South Sound region. The practice is located in Tacoma, with outreach to surrounding communities. It is primarily outpatient practice but includes inpatient consultation at several regional hospitals. As part of Seattle Children’s Heart Center, our providers are fully integrated into a multidisciplinary team, with 24/7 access to a broad network of pediatric subspecialists—ranging from prenatal cardiology to advanced care for adolescents and young adults. This regional cardiology position offers the best of both worlds: the autonomy and deep community engagement of a local practice, combined with the robust support, resources, and collaboration of a nationally recognized academic medical center. The role offers variety, including opportunities in fetal cardiology, community outreach, and the chance to help shape and grow a dynamic pediatric cardiology program in the South Sound area. Practice location: Tacoma with outreach to surrounding communities; primarily outpatient with inpatient consultation at regional hospitals. Work as part of Seattle Children’s Heart Center, with integration into a multidisciplinary team and 24/7 access to a broad network of pediatric subspecialists. $321,066-346,035 annually Required Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience MD Degree. Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics and/or specialty as applicable. Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at Seattle Children’s and other sites as applicable. Required Credentials
Required Credentials Licensed as a Physician in the State of Washington or state within WAMI region. Federal DEA Registration. Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment. All medical and allied health professional staff members are provisional for the first year. Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual\'s employment at Children's. Termination of employment does not prohibit the individual from seeking medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children’s as a non-employee in any category for which the individual qualifies.
