focuses on infrastructure needs of municipalities, state and local governments, and specialized physical and digital infrastructure solutions for government and federal agencies. Our Industrial Water solution
delivers lifecycle water, wastewater, and stormwater projects for heavy commercial and industrial clients, balancing schedule, budget, water sustainability and regulatory compliance. Business development : Lead team efforts for marketing; strategy development; prospect identification, proposal development, proposal preparation, client presentations, project budgeting and contracting for successful opportunities; accountable for new business objectives and overall project performance. Project management : Interact with assigned clients; participate in client activities and promote Black & Veatch through client and community activities; support development of the overall market business plan, market strategies and client engagement strategies; leverage technical and management resources to advance Black & Veatch’s market footprint. Project execution : Oversight of engineering managers; develop project performance goals; manage implementation; active involvement with internal project teams and owner project representatives; perform or assist with budgeting, invoicing and payments; lead project performance reviews. Staff management : Team development, mentoring and coaching; recommendations for training and promotion; identify and develop new candidates to expand the team. Management responsibilities : Acts as a project manager; may involve managing a project team whose composition varies by project. Qualifications
Preferred : 20+ years of active water/wastewater experience with leadership in the industrial sector Licenses : Professional Engineer; Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline Understanding of budgets and financial metrics Contract negotiation skills, including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing and payment terms Minimum : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background checks, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search in compliance with applicable laws Benefits & Compliance
