Under Kimsey’s leadership, HopeWorks has expanded its service reach, rebranded from Resource Service Ministries to HopeWorks in 2016, and built new partnerships to strengthen its mission and impact. Kimsey’s achievements include streamlining operations, nurturing community involvement, and championing broad outreach efforts that continue to touch thousands of lives across Georgia, ensuring HopeWorks remains a beacon of hope for seniors most in need. About the Executive Director
This vital leadership role offers the chance to shape HopeWorks’ future, engaging with board and staff to drive ministry success while embracing a dynamic, Christ-centered atmosphere. Responsibilities include strategic planning, financial stewardship, program management, fundraising, and daily operations, with emphasis on team building, volunteer coordination, and community outreach — inspiring hope, nurturing relationships, and serving Georgia’s seniors with heart and purpose. Responsibilities
Board of Directors: quarterly meetings, ministry updates, program stats, familiarity with P&L and balance sheets, responsible for the yearly budget, encourage board engagement in widow assignments, volunteer opportunities, and conduct meetings with the board chairman and other members for counsel as needed. Ministry Staff: maintain an efficient working environment, hire/fire staff, manage staff raises and rewards, staff morale, and staff training. Administrative: oversee all program implementation and success (including involvement with the PSC for HELPS and GPC programs); manage program financials including cash flow and accuracy; implement systems to ensure smooth ministry operations; prepare SOPs, spreadsheets, forms; handle all legal matters; resolve issues at the highest level; oversee ministry cash flows and investments; secure funding for programs and work with the Board to raise funds; maintain fundraising efforts with PSC, AGL, gas marketers, Georgia Power, churches, businesses, and individuals; manage marketing materials including website, donor letters, newsletters, flyers, videos, and fact sheets. Facility and Equipment: oversee acquisition/disposition of equipment and vehicles; supervise maintenance of vehicles and facilities; ensure building security and safety (fire/flood). Ministry: develop, implement, and ensure ongoing success of all ministries (e.g., Sweet Hour of Prayer, HopeWorks Senior Fellowship, home visits); coordinate with Chaplain for spiritual vitality; maintain a Christ-centered atmosphere across programs; listen for new ministry opportunities; attend to spiritual needs of staff, board, donors, and volunteers.
