The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Responsibilities
Rotate through Pre, Intra and Post Procedure areas in the Endoscopy Suite.
Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
Ensure safety in practice and advance knowledge of self and others through evidence-based practice and teamwork.
Report identified safety issues and medical errors.
Know the patient population served and supervise/direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members.
Collaborate with other patient care providers and manage priorities with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care for each patient.
Qualifications Required:
ASN or Nursing Diploma
Endoscopy experience preferred
Pre-operative and Post-operative experience preferred
Critical Care experience preferred; Med-Surg experience of 3-5 years will be considered
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficient computer skills
Preferred:
BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
CPAN or CGRN National Certification preferred
At least 1-2 years of RN experience in endoscopy preferred
Certifications and Licenses
BLS and ACLS certification
Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Scheduling
Day Shift, 36 hours per week, 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Three 12-hour shifts with weekend/holidays rotations and intermittent call coverage overnight
