Overview
Dalian Development is the mixed-use multifamily development arm of the Fateh Family Office, a global investment and development firm with a focus on long term wealth preservation and growth. Our mission is to develop institutional quality multifamily product in select high barrier to entry markets. Dalian has delivered over 1,000 units in Philadelphia, PA and San Antonio, TX and has active developments in Raleigh, NC, Richmond, VA and Pittsburgh, PA to deliver approximately 1,000 luxury apartment units. Dalian is actively pursuing opportunities across the country to continue to expand our pipeline.
What The Role Entails
Dalian is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. The successful candidate will provide support for the Accounting/Finance Team in the day-to-day operations and development of several large-scale multifamily projects. The Senior Accountant will work with Property Management, Development, and Accounting personnel as well as Executive level staff within our organization. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements, development draws and general ledger account reconciliations. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to succeed in a fast-past environment.
What You Will Get to Do
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements including supporting workpaper packages
Review corporate expense and overhead allocations
Perform account variance analyses and reconciliations
Prepare journal entries
Review invoices for proper coding and prepare for payment
Reconcile and review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
Prepare monthly draw packages for submission to lenders
Assist with preparing for closings
Compile financial data and other audit requirements
Special projects, as assigned
What You Bring To The Role
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
A minimum of five (5) years in a professional business environment, public accounting and/or real estate industry
Entrepreneurial and thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment
Superior organization skills with the ability to maintain progress against important deadlines.
Able to manage multiple projects at the same time
Demonstrated professional verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
Strong sense of urgency to accomplish tasks on or ahead of schedule while still maintaining accuracy
Strong business acumen with the ability to solve problems using analysis, technical and organizational expertise
Exceptional attention to detail with a strong work ethic and self-motivation
Responsible attitude; leading by example in attendance, attitude and technical work product.
Strong teaming skills; works well with internal and external team members and drives execution through collaboration and networking
Assertive personality style needed to ensure that processes are completed and moving on to the next stage of completion
Ability and willingness to respond to emails and phone calls after hours in the event of an emergency
