NICU Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – Locum Tenens, 12-Hour Night Shifts in Milwaukee, WI. Advance your nursing career as a NICU RN in Milwaukee, WI (ZIP 53226). This locum tenens opportunity offers a Level IV NICU with a 70-bed unit and all private rooms. Location: Milwaukee, WI 53226. Assignment type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract. Start date: September 29, 2025 (must be available to start on this date). Contract length: 13 weeks. Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). Hours per week: 36 guaranteed (except during holidays and orientation week). Weekend/holiday coverage: Every other weekend and every other holiday required. Floating: May float to critical care and pediatric units as needed. Estimated weekly pay: $2100–$2250. Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care to neonates in a Level IV NICU setting Monitor, assess, and document patient status using EPIC Administer medications and manage advanced respiratory support (CPAP, trach, high flow, etc.) Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float to critical care and pediatric units as needed Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including dress code and jewelry guidelines Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment Qualifications
Active RN license in Wisconsin or Compact State Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred Minimum 2 years of Level IV NICU nursing experience required Pediatric nursing experience preferred Certifications: AHA BLS and NRP required; AHA PALS preferred Experience with CPAP, trach, high flow, and advanced neonatal interventions Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Benefits
