Cortica is looking for a

Clinical Trials Nurse

to join its growing team. This role is instrumental in the execution of clinical trials by ensuring coordination, protocol adherence, and problem-solving across multiple studies. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, data management, participant recruitment, scheduling, and ensuring each research visit is conducted to protocol. The Clinical Trials Nurse operates independently while collaborating with the research coordinator team, Clinical Trials Manager, Investigators, and study sponsors to maintain compliance with clinical trial conduct requirements. Manage trial operations and oversee clinical research trial processes. Problem-solve and make decisions to optimize clinical trial success related to participant experience, adherence to standards, Sponsor relationships, and the Cortica Innovation Network. Serve as an in-house phlebotomist for active trials, including drawing blood, processing samples, packaging, and shipping in accordance with protocols. Take initiative to complete study tasks and escalate challenges to supervisory staff as needed. Mentor and support training of Research Coordinators; communicate with families and community organizations to raise awareness of research opportunities for local children and adolescents. Recruit, screen, schedule, enroll, and conduct study visits in-clinic and in-home. Work with the team to ensure all visit tasks are performed to protocol. Master various research assessments (e.g., ECGs, vital signs, blood draws, and other clinical assessments). Maintain secure and accurate data collection, entry, and record-keeping. Coordinate with study sponsors to ensure regulatory documents and processes are followed. Maintain organization of study materials, including laboratory materials, assessment kits, and investigational products. Support start-up and close-out of clinical trials through training, source creation, and process development. Frequently travel within the community to support accessibility for research participants. Qualifications

RN or NP nursing degree. 1+ year of clinical trials experience. 1+ year of phlebotomy experience. Active Phlebotomy Certificate in California or willingness to obtain. 1+ year of experience working with neurodiverse children and/or adolescents. Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this opening is

$80,533

to
